As Public Adjusters, (PA’s) we are fully licensed by the State Department of Insurance and represent you (the insured/policyholder). Licensed and bonded to advocate for Building Owners/Risk Managers of commercial/multifamily property or homeowners (i.e., the policyholder). We also work well alongside your General Contractors. We assist in helping you file, prepare, present and settle a property insurance claim. A Qualified PA can simplify and expedite the complicated, time-consuming insurance claim process for property damage from hail, fire, windstorms, floods, hurricanes, and other disasters. We know more than policy; we have In-house Registered Roof Consultant®, Registered Roof Observer®, and Levels I & II Thermal drone operators on our team.

Public Adjusters play an important role in your claim. We are expert advocates for protecting your rights and interests. You need us to ensure you get a fair and complete payout according to what your policy provides. When you hire us to represent you, we take the stress of the unknown out of your hands. We begin handling the complicated interpretation of your policy and work through the insurance claim process along with you from start to finish.

the process

The state licenses us to represent the insured only. With your best interests in mind, we work on your behalf to bring you a fair and equitable settlement. A PA is an important protection for your rights as a policyholder. As in most states, a PA is required to be tested, licensed, bonded, and current on continuing education requirements. To qualify for a Public Insurance Adjuster license, a PA must demonstrate significant knowledge and competence in various areas related to property insurance, construction, claims settlement, and pertinent laws and regulations.

After initial contact and discussion to consult with you, we present you with a contract and schedule a visit to the site. You may cancel the contract after signature within 72 hours. There is no out-of-pocket expense to hire APIA Source. We work on a contingency fee. Our fee is 10% of the total value of the settlement. This means there is no fee if we do not recover money for you. We only get paid if you get paid.

Our experts will examine your policy in its entirety, determine coverage and take the time to investigate damages by physically inspecting all roof lines/buildings on your property and assessing any damage in detail that a covered peril may have caused. Below are some of the equipment and services used daily by our team:

  • Weather data tracking & reports

  • Aerial Drone Imaging

  • Infrared Thermography inspections

  • ASTM Dynamic wind uplift testing

  • Pull Tests and Core Sampling

  • Matterport 3D Capture Imaging

  • 3rd Party Engineering

After the full extent of the loss has been determined and documented by visiting the property, a schedule of loss is prepared and undergoes a complete review by our team. The information gathered is used to produce a loss estimate and upon final approval by you, the insured/policyholder, it is submitted and negotiated with the insurance carrier.

Best of all, we handle all aspects of the claim for you. During this process, we are available to answer any questions. We pledge to work diligently to resolve your claim in a timely manner.  Check out our media feed tab!

IA assigned by the insurance carrier

As you are probably aware when an insurance carrier (Insurer) acknowledges your claim, they deploy staff/company claims adjusters who work for them (the carrier) or sometimes contract with independent adjusters who are hired on a contractual basis by the carrier. You may not be aware that these adjusters work for the insurance carrier and adjust the claim on their behalf and best interests, not yours. These adjusters maintain a license that only allows them to work for the insurance carrier and not for you, the insured/policyholder.

Use our Contact Page to start the process and tell us more about you and your property damage. We look forward to contacting you and navigating the claim process together.
